The first place that many people’s minds go to is artwork. Artwork is a mainstay for wall decorating, but how do you do this affordably on a large scale? Artwork can be expensive, especially large original artwork. The great thing about one large piece of art is that it makes a big impact, so you’re basically one and done.

One of the best places to look for cheap large wall art is Etsy. We are a little biased here at NLS Design, but that is because it really is the truth. There are thousands of artists and styles to choose from, and you can find everything from already framed pieces to wrapped canvas to DIY printable wall art.

The cheapest route to take is to find Etsy shops that sell printable art in large sizes. You will likely pay under $10 for an original piece of art that you can download and then get printed wherever you like. You can find hundreds of sites online that will print artwork. Anywhere that you usually get photos printed is always a safe bet – think Shutterfly, Costco, etc… A wrapped canvas is a lightweight and budget choice since you don’t have to worry about framing, but places like Amazon and hobby stores like Michaels will also have inexpensive options.

The obvious choice with wallpaper is to cover the whole room, or even one focal point wall in your living room for an instant impact, but a cheaper and equally chic option is the get samples or small rolls of large-scale wallpaper and frame them and hang in a gallery art wall. In this way, you can get a lot of color and movement while still covering a large space and stay within budget and not damage your walls.
